Mission Statement

To achieve great results and maintain friendships in a competitive and fun atmosphere: we commit to grow and improve by supporting, motivating and training with each other...on and off the water.

Goals

The Galley Girls continue to strive for excellence in our sport: we are committed to improving our standings in all events in which we participate, while maintaining our high level of sportsmanship and enthusiasm. We are positive role models not only in the community and in our families but to athletes young and old: our team embodies the qualities of commitment, effort, support and teamwork.

During the 2009 season, we aspire to reach the podium in our hometown of Ottawa. We are also competing at a higher level this year, with the inclusion of the Canadian National Dragon Boat Championships and the GWN regatta

(a Club Crew World Championship Qualifier event).

Corporate sponsorship is an essential key to realizing our goals. Any monetary support we receive will help to fulfil our training and community commitments, while enabling us to continue on our path to reach new competitive heights: we look forward to establishing partnerships in order to achieve our goals.
